About one thousand two hundred men, women and children marched through the streets of the city of David, in Chiriquí, Panama, to ask for a halt to violence.

The activity counted with the participation of schools, governmental entities, delegations of the Adventist church of Volcán, Puerto Armuelles, David.
We need to provide guidance to society
María Smith, coordinator for Women’s Ministries in David, explained: “If we practice values of love and respect it is possible to live without violence”.
We want to provide guidance to society that we must not remain silent, that violence is affecting the world.
Mrs. Smith added that “the aggressor also needs help, because he must have a problem”.
Victims are not alone
The event seeks to promote peace and to tell the victim that they are not alone, that he/she should dare ask for help.
“We must raise awarness about violence; violence cases are on the rise; they should dare to break the silence”, said Cristian Espejo, pastor and Family Life Ministries Director of the Adventist Church.
